Beauty, often defined as a combination of qualities like shape, color, or form that pleases the eye, has captivated the hearts of many for centuries. In the Bible, we encounter a woman named Vashti who possessed outward beauty and lived a life of grandeur. As the queen of King Xerxes, her beauty earned her love and admiration. However, she became too familiar with her status and privileges, ultimately losing everything, including her crown (Esther 1:10-12).
In a moment of royal celebration, King Xerxes sent for Queen Vashti to come before him, but she refused. Her disobedience not only broke the law but also brought dishonor to the king. As a result, the king, guided by the advice of his counselors, decreed that every man should rule his household, regardless of cultural differences. This pivotal decision opened the door for another woman—Esther.
Esther, an orphan and a Jew, was living under the care of her uncle Mordecai. Despite her humble beginnings, Esther was beautiful and kind-hearted (Esther 2:9). When the king sought a new queen, Esther found favor with those who attended to the royal court. She stood out even before meeting the king (Esther 2:10).
Esther's beauty was not merely in her appearance. It was her inner qualities—her character, grace, and wisdom—that shone the brightest. Mordecai advised Esther to keep her nationality hidden, and she obeyed, trusting in God’s timing. When Esther was brought before King Xerxes, he found her favor unmatched, setting a crown on her head and making her queen (Esther 2:17).

Beauty With Anointing |
Anointing from God does more than enhance external beauty—it brings about good character, wisdom, and favor. Esther was not only beautiful on the outside, but she was also anointed with wisdom and grace. Her inner beauty, nurtured by her faith, empowered her to make bold decisions and stand firm in difficult circumstances.
In a world where outward appearances often dominate, it is crucial to remember that our true beauty comes from within. Like Esther, we are called to cultivate an inner radiance that reflects God’s love and wisdom. The beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit transcends fleeting trends and is cherished by God, who sees the heart (1 Samuel 16:7).
Let us follow Esther's example of beauty with anointing. As we embrace God’s calling on our lives, may we radiate not only physical beauty but also the deeper beauty of a heart surrendered to Him.
God Bless You.
